What guides on this site are, and what they are not.

Korea Life Admin publishes general informational guides about administrative procedures in South Korea. This page sets out the limits on what those guides can tell you and how they should be used.

Not professional advice

Nothing on this site is legal, immigration, tax, financial, medical or any other form of professional advice. Reading a guide does not create a professional, advisory or fiduciary relationship. If your case involves money at risk, your residence status, a contested application, or an unusual set of facts, consult the office with authority over the decision or a licensed professional in that field.

General information, not case work

Guides describe how a procedure generally works for a typical foreign resident. They do not assess your visa category against your circumstances, review your documents, predict what an officer will decide, or represent you before an office. Where the rule genuinely varies — by visa, by district, by nationality — the guide states the variation instead of choosing one answer for you.

Accuracy and currency

Every guide carries the date it was last checked. Korean rules, fees, forms and office practices change, sometimes without public notice and sometimes inconsistently between districts. Reasonable effort is made to keep guides current, but no warranty is given that any page is accurate, complete or applicable to your situation at the exact moment you read it. Always confirm with the issuing office before acting.

Reference drafts

Pages marked as reference drafts are compiled from public regulations and official sources but have not yet been re-verified against a specific counter on a specific date. They are useful as preparation, but should be treated as a starting point, not a substitute for the office's own guidance. Verified guides carry a dated verification stamp and name the office they were checked against.

Guides link out to government offices and other third-party websites for verification. Those sites are not controlled by Korea Life Admin. No responsibility is taken for their content, availability, or the way they handle your data.
