The standards every guide on this site is held to.

This page sets out the standards every guide on Korea Life Admin is written to. It exists so readers can judge the site by a published rule rather than by tone.

Accuracy before completeness

A guide is published when its core procedure has been verified, not when it covers every possible edge case. Unverified sections are marked as such rather than filled in with plausible-sounding detail. Where I do not know, the guide says I do not know.

Sourcing

Fees, deadlines, eligibility rules and official forms link to the government office that issues them.
Other blogs and forum posts are not used as sources for factual claims. They are occasionally cited as evidence that readers commonly encounter a problem — never as evidence of what the rule is.
Where a guide relies on what an officer said in person, it says so, and names the office and the month.

Verification status and dates

Every guide displays its status and the date it was last worked on. There are two statuses, and the difference is deliberate:

Reference draft. Compiled from the issuing agency's own published regulations and forms, but not yet re-confirmed at a specific counter on a specific date. Useful for preparation; not a substitute for the office's own guidance.
Verified. The procedure, fees and required documents were re-confirmed against the issuing office on the date shown, and the guide names the office it was checked against.

A verification date is not a cosmetic timestamp and is not updated for typo fixes. A guide is never promoted from draft to verified without an actual check.

Corrections

Errors are corrected in place, with a dated entry at the foot of the page recording what was wrong and what it now says. The previous wording is preserved. Guides are never silently rewritten, and pages are not deleted to hide mistakes.

Serious errors — anything that could have caused a reader financial loss or a status problem — are additionally flagged at the top of the page for thirty days.

How these pages are produced

Editorial judgement, source reading and counter observation are done by a person. Language and drafting tools are used to structure and edit that material, in the way a word processor or a research assistant would be.

What those tools are never used for: generating a fact, a fee, a deadline or a procedure that has not been read at its source or observed in person; and producing pages at volume to fill an index. Every factual claim on this site traces to a named source or to a counter visit, and any claim that traces to neither is not published.

Advertising independence

The site carries display advertising, which is labelled and served by third-party networks. Advertisers have no input into editorial decisions, no advance sight of content, and no ability to have coverage changed or removed. Nothing on this site is sponsored content.

If an affiliate arrangement is ever used, it will be disclosed on the page, above the link, in plain language.

Scope limits

This site explains procedures. It does not interpret your individual case, assess your eligibility, or represent you before any office. Where a question turns on the specifics of your visa, contract or finances, the guide will direct you to the authority or licensed professional who can answer it.

Reader reports

If your experience at a counter contradicts a guide, send it in. Reports are checked against the office before publication. Confirmed reports result in a dated correction and, where the reader agrees, an acknowledgement.
